I was reading about the idea of writing “public stand-up updates” the other day, and it sounds sort of annoying but also probably quite useful in an open source project. Nothing private is usually said in a stand-up, but it’s nice to not have to censor oneself. Then again, sharing information is of more use when it’s with more (interested) people. Certainly, I think writing a regular update of what is being worked on in an open source project is a good idea! In fact, even if nothing is being worked on. Maybe that’s no longer a stand-up…
