    "Because an office was built in this corner a fragment of the original floor has survived under a thin concrete slab. It consisted of limestone and lime mortar between jarray posts. It would appear that the floor may have been clad with corrugated iron so as to run any split kerosene to the perimeter gutter and thence to the drain holes to the exterior. The drain holes, gutters and the floor in this area have been retained.
